In my practice, I aim to come alongside people in providing them with acceptance, support, and understanding in order to help them work toward better mental health and well-being. I believe that the counselling relationship can be very powerful in giving us opportunities to experience healing and growth.
Counselling gives us space to learn new things and to address challenging experiences and parts of ourselves that can be hard to make time for in the normal course of life. We can explore beliefs that we have about ourselves, others, and the world and how those beliefs impact the ways that we interact and cope. We can also explore how our experiences, culture, intergenerational trauma, and our own experiences shape us and what it all means for us. In counselling, we can honestly connect to, get to know, and move towards trusting ourselves which is a significant part of healing.
I have experience with a wide range of clients from working at Child and Youth Mental Health, Community Services, and private practice. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, parents, and couples. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive. My foundations are person-centered and existential, and I draw from many theories in order to support each person in their counselling journey. Accessibility to counselling is so important to me so please don't hesitate to ask me about reduced rate. Please reach out to me to set up an appointment or a free consultation!
